A Broadside. Dun Emer and Cuala Press 1908-1915. Complete run of 84 issues. No 1. June 1908 – No 12 April 1912; No. 1 Fifth Year June 1912- Seventh and Last Year of the Set, May 1915. Each limited to 300 Copies. All in good to fine condition, hand coloured and b/w illustrations by Jack B. Yeats. Edited by J. Stephens, Padraic Colum, John Masefield and other. Housed in publisher’s original blue linen covered portfolios, each with a hand coloured label, to center of upper cover from a Jack B. Yeats design (Pirate with mandolin).

Number one has The Dun Emer Press at the head of page one whereas all the other 83 numbers have the Cuala Press, making this one of the first works from the Cuala Press.

All of the 252 drawings were by Jack B. Yeats; he also contributed several verses, some anonymously and some signed with his pseudonyms ‘R. E. MacGowan’ and ‘Wolfe Tone MacGowan.’ Other writers include Masefield, Rhys, Lady Gregory, O’Sullivan, and James Stephens—but apparently none by W. B. Yeats
