Although listed as the third edition, it is also the second English edition printed from the 1000 sets of US sheets, bought by Harriet Shaw Weaver, owner of the Egoist, from Huebsch the American publisher. When the Egoist Press disposed of this title to Jonathan Cape in 1924, there were 130 copies of this edition left. In effect, only 870 copies of this edition bear the Egoist imprint. [Slocum 13].
