This edition was reset & reprinted by the Viking Press in August 1932. It contains the erroneous statement that it is the second American edition.

The first authorized edition was printed by Huebsch in 1918 (preceded by the unauthorized Cornhill edition in the same year). The second American edition was published by Huebsch, the text being reset, in 1923.
