A very good copy. Barry O'Brien (1847-1918) was a lawyer, historian, and journalist; politically, he was aligned with Charles Stuart Parnell. He states in the Introductory chapter, "Look then at the Irish question from every point of view; discuss it from every point of view; and we shall always have to come back to this one vital fact, the Irish people are governed by the public opinion of another country."
