Dubliners. Six original Photo-Gravures by Robert Ballagh and Introduction by Thomas Flanagan. New York: Limited Editions Club, 1986. One of 1000 Numbered Copies. Signed by Ballagh and Flanagan. Hand-sewn and bound in Irish linen and dark green Nigerian Oasis goatskin stamped in gold. Folio. Pp, 310. A fine copy in publisher's slipcase.
Illustrated with six velvet-like black and white photographs, including one of Sandymount Strand and Buck Mulligan's famous lighthouse. With four other familiar scenes of Dublin depicted, the final one, presumably where Michael Furey lay buried, is of the desolate graveyard in winter covered in snow "that was general all over Ireland... the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead."
