‘In Sand’ was first produced by the Abbey Theatre Experimental Company and was later several times broadcast by the B.B.C. The present text is edited by Jack MacGowran who directed the first production. It includes a one act piece, ‘The Green Wave,’ written as a prologue for ‘In Sand’ but never performed.
