Martin Daly was the pseudonym of Stephen McKenna (1872-1934), a journalist who became continental representative of The New York World, where he enjoyed prosperous period as journalist covering Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05 and the revolution in St. Petersburg, 1905. He was a close friend of J. M. Synge and was acquainted with John O’Leary, Maud Gonne, AE and James Stephens.
