The Aran Islands. By J.M. Synge. With Drawings by Jack B. Yeats. Dublin: Maunsel & Co., 1907. First edition, second issue. Pp, xii, 189 + advertisement; uncut. Twelve full page black & white illustrations by Jack Yeats. Original blue cloth titled lettered in gilt to upper cover and spine, light age-toning to pages, but overall a near fine copy. Signed by J.B. Yeats on page opposite half-title. Housed in a custom-made collector's solander box. A small number of copies were printed with 1906 on the title page, these are the first state, and are identical in format to the 1907 edition. A rare Signed copy of this classic work combining the talents of two of Ireland's literary & artistic greats.
