First published in July 1924, Macardles shows how Kerry resisted and suffered during the Free State army reign of terror. This terror reached its climax in March 1923, in triple atrocities at Ballyseedy, Tralee; Countess Bridge, Killarney and Bahaghs, Caherciveen.
