Illustrated in Brigg’s charactistic cartoon-strip style ‘When The Wind Blows‘ is a harrowing tale of a nuclear attack on Britain by the Soviet Union from the viewpoint of retired couple Jim & Hilda Bloggs.

First published by Hamish Hamilton in 1982, the book was a sensation upon release. Demand was so high that it was reprinted before official publication, and it even sparked a debate in the House of Commons.
