The dedicatee Carsten Lorenz is a movie producer known for his work on Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), Midway (2019) and Greenland (2020). Cockcroft meet &  consulted with Lorenz possibly with a view to a movie of The Dice Man which in the event was never made.
