Ulick Joseph Bourke ((1829–87) was a catholic priest, Irish-language revivalist, teacher and antiquarian. As a student at Maynooth he was so disappointed by the inferior place of Irish in the curriculum that he compiled his own College Irish Grammar (1856) for the benefit of fellow students.

Among his many published works, The Aryan Origin of the Gaelic Race and language is considered his greatest work. A second edition was published in 1876.
