In his ongoing struggle to improve his daughter’s spirits, Joyce asked her to participate in the making of this beautiful book. Lucia who had spent most of her adult life in institutions, designed the initial letter, tail-piece and the front cover.

The first fragment from his Work in Progress which was published in book form as Finnegans Wake in 1939.
