Lightly faded at spine with small repair to page 199 with cello tape, leaving a dark brown mark the length of the page front and back and some off-setting to pages 198 and 201. Otherwise a handsome set.

English illustrator and satirical artist John Tenniel (especially known for his work in Punch) illustrated the first edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass (1872).
