Limited Edition, of 300 Hand Coloured Copies

A celebrated collection of eight drawings plus one on the title page by the renowned Irish artist Jack B. Yeats (1871–1957). The drawings, which originally date from 1908 to 1913, were created for the Broadside, a monthly publication of ballads and illustrations that Jack B. Yeats produced with his sister, Elizabeth Corbet Yeats, from 1908 to 1915.

While Jack B. Yeats is perhaps best known today for his later, more expressionist oil paintings, the drawings in Broadside Characters showcase his earlier work as a gifted illustrator with a sharp eye for character and social observation.
