This copy is signed & dated  by B.J. Collingwood, (the author’s nephew) on the front free endpaper. 

This Macmillan’s ‘miniature’ centenary edition was published to mark the 100th anniversary of the author’s birth. With proceeds going to the Lewis Carroll Memorial Fund to establish and endow a Children’s Ward in St. Mary’s Hospital London, in memory of the author.

Bertram James Collingwood (1871-1934) was the younger brother of Carroll’s nephew and biographer, Stuart Dodgson Collingwood.
