Robert Lloyd Praeger was a prolific Irish naturalist, librarian, author, and bibliographer who is often considered one of the most influential figures in Irish natural history. His work laid the foundation for modern Irish botany and ecology.

He is best known for his classic work, “The Way That I Went” (1937). Part autobiography, part travelogue, and part natural history guide, it charmingly describes his journeys across Ireland and remains one of the most beloved books on the Irish landscape.

The best and increasingly scarce first edition.
