Alexander Martin Sullivan (1830-1884), was a journalist, politician, and fervent Irish nationalist. Specifically aimed at young Irish readers, this sweeping, patriotic narrative of Irish history, sought to instil pride, historical awareness, and a sense of national identity in the youth of Ireland.
