Five volumes, each bound in different coloured cloth with gilt title to covers and spines and colour cameo to upper covers.  A very attractive set.

Three volumes illustrated by Charles Green, known principally for his watercolours depicting historical subjects with ‘The Cricket on the Hearth’  illustrated by Swiss painter, Luigi Rossi.

Lovely set of all five Christmas books, published by the Pears Soap Company in honour of the centenary of Charles Dickens birth (1812).
