Lady Augusta Gregory co-directed the Abbey Theatre with W.B. Yeats from its founding in 1904 until her death in 1932. She collaborated with Yeats on some of his early plays & later began writing plays on her own. For many years after the Abbey’s founding these were some of the theatre’s most popular productions.
