Uncollected Poems. London: Turret Books, 1965. First Edition. Plain white wrappers with green pictorial dust jacket.
A scarce, slim volume published two years after her death, limited to 150 copies.
The first edition consisting of 19 pages of text plus plates. It was originally bound in unprinted white card wrappers (sewn or stapled) and issued with a distinctive green pictorial dust jacket featuring a reproduction of Plath’s own drawing of “Wuthering Heights.”
A notable physical feature is the centrefold on pink paper, which provides a holograph facsimile of Plath’s working manuscript for the poem “Half-Moon” (later titled “Thalidomide“). The publisher’s blurb described these poems as forming “the connecting link” between The Colossus, published in 1960, and Ariel, published postnumousally in 1965.
