William Henry Grattan Flood was a noted Irish author, composer, musicologist, and historian. As well as writing a ‘A History of Enniscorthy and Ferns’ (1898) Flood also published ‘Story of the Bagpipe’ (1911) and ‘John Field of Dublin: Inventor of the Nocturne’ a booklet in 1920.
