Included is a typed lettered signed from Robert F. Kennedy, dated 10th February, 1964.  Kennedy is thankful for receiving a tape recording of his brother’s address at Leinster House, which will be included in the planned John Fitzgerald Kennedy Memorial Library in Boston.

Kennedy’s address in Leinster House was an historic event of firsts and witnessed by many. It was the first time the Dáil and Seanad sat in a formal joint sitting. It was the first time a foreign dignitary – indeed, an American president – addressed both Houses of the Parliament; and It was the first time television cameras recorded events in the Dáil Chamber.
