Uniform set in publisher’s green cloth boards, Celtic Knot design blocked in blind on upper covers, title lettered in gilt on spines. Bindings in good condition, Le Roux’s Life of Pearse worn along upper hinge; contents pages of all with light scattered spotting, but overall a nice bright set.

A early issue of this Collected Works compiled and edited by his former pupil Desmond Ryan from 1917 to 1922, collecting Pearse’s writings both political and literary in Irish and English.

Le Roux’s biography details Pearse’s military, educational, artistic and political contributions, as well as the Easter week revolt. Le Roux was a Breton Nationalist who came to live in Ireland during the First World War.
