Twelve paintings by the Irish artist Gerald Davis (one for each month of the year) are structured around the life, works, and cultural memory of James Joyce.  Each month is dedicated to a specific Joyce-related theme, event, or symbol, creating a biographical and symbolic calendar that unfolds from January to December.

Commissioned by Arthur Guinness & Sons & first published for the Irish University Review to celebrate Joyce’s centenary year in 1982.
