First published in 1905 and by the same author as ‘The Secret Garden’ & ‘Little Lord Fauntleroy’ this was another of Burnett’s well known children’s novels. Sara Crewe, a pupil at Miss Minchin’s London School, is left in poverty when her father dies, but is later rescued by a mysterious benefactor.
