First English edition of Dulac’s contribution to the French Red Cross’ World War I fundraising efforts, with 19 mounted color plates by him and mounted black-and-white photographic portrait of the artist.
A Frenchman by birth, Dulac was the logical illustrator to compile a gift book which could be used to raise money for the French Red Cross. Contains Fairy tales, Poems and Songs from around the world, including Sinbad the Sailor, the Three Kings, The Story of the Bird Feng, The Real Princess (The Princess and the Pea), The Nightingale, Cinderella, Blue Beard, etc.
