Christina Rossetti’s much loved poem “Goblin Market” was originally published in 1862. The first edition with Rackham’s illustrations appeared in 1933 and the Illustrated issue of The King of the Golden River in 1939.

Christina Rossetti (1830-1894) was a poet and a Pre-Raphaelite artist, known for her romantic, devotional, and children’s poems.
