Persuasion was Jane Austen’s finial novel, published six months after her death, at the end of 1817.

Charles E. Brock was one of four artist brothers one of which was another famous book illustrator Henry Matthew Brock. A very respected & successful book illustrator he illustrated the works of authors such as Jonathan Swift, William Thackeray, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and George Eliot.
