Beautifully illustrated with ten tipped-in colour plates by Edmund Dulac. Publisher’s cream cloth boards, richly decorated & blocked in gilt and green, pale green endpapers, top edge gilt. A few minor stains to top edges of boards, otherwise a lovely clean copy.
A beautifully-illustrated edition based on a tale from “One Thousand and One Nights.” Edmund Dulac was an French illustrator who made his reputation during the ‘fin de siecle’ producing illustrations for many classic works including editions of Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, and Hans Christian Anderson.
