A cornerstone collection of Bradbury’s dark fantasy and macabre stories, featuring classics like “The Lake,” “The Wind,” and “The Small Assassin.”  The book also represents the first wide appearance of these stories, as Bradbury revised and selected them from his earlier, much rarer Arkham House collection, ‘Dark Carnival.’

This first printing is distinguished by the famous printer’s error where the Ballantine monogram on the spine is inverted, a defining point of issue for collectors.
