“This little book is the outgrowth of a custom in my house, known to the children as – Telling the Rabbit Story.”  Sara Cone Bryant was an American lecturer, teacher, and writer. She wrote children’s books in the early 20th century. She also supported and took a leadership role in women’s suffrage.

William Andrew Pogany was a prolific Hungarian illustrator of children’s and other books. In 1914, Pogany moved to New York City to broaden his artistic talents.
