The first major work on The North Bull island, Ireland’s first and most famous bird sanctuary, providing a guide-book with lists of birds to be seen at particular times. Illustrated with 23 colour and monotones plates and 50 black and white sketches by Roland Green.

Colm O’Lochlainn was a renowned printer, typographer & founder of the Three Candle Press. He authored two books on Irish ballads, namely ‘Irish Street Ballads’ published in 1939 and ‘More Irish Street Ballads’ in 1965. He was also an assistant in the Faculty of Modern Irish at University College Dublin from 1933 to 1943, where he later became a professor of Irish Language and Literature.
