The first part of Hore’s six volume series published between 1900 and 1911, largely on the manuscripts and research of his father Herbert Francis Hore.
The Hore family, of which he was a member, were relatively large landowners and first arrived in County Wexford in the early stages of the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland and from that time onwards they played a prominent role in the history of the county.
