Charles Graves, (1812-1899), clergyman, mathematician, and antiquarian, became an authority on Irish ogham inscriptions, for which he devised a key.

These extracts were published in the journal ‘Hermathena – A Trinity College Dublin Review’ under the auspices of the Department of Classics. It has been published at Trinity College without interruption since 1873.
