The story of fliers and aviators who came to Portmarnock beach in the period 1930-1933. A natural runway in North Dublin, it was ideal for a take-off point for transatlantic flights against the prevailing wind. The main heroes are Charles Kingsford Smith – Jim Mollison and Charles Ulm, as well as Amy Johnson, a female aviator who married Mollison.
