Antarctica. London: Faber, 1999. First Edition, First Issue. Card wrappers with pictorial dust jacket. Light shelf-wear & creasing to wrappers.

Inscribed by the Author on the title page.

The author’s debut collection of short stories and a notably scarce book in its first incarnation. The key point for collectors and bibliographers is that the UK first edition was issued as a paperback original in a dust jacket—no hardcover version of the UK first edition was produced.

Antarctica announced Keegan as a distinctive new voice in Irish fiction. It won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and the William Trevor Prize and was named a Los Angeles Times Book of the Year.
