This play attacking Dublin urban poverty was written jointly by Gogarty (his second published work) and Joseph O’Connor. It ran for one week at the Abbey in December, 1917 and was subtitled ‘The Tragedy of Dublin.’

Gogarty’s scarce second published work with an excellent association, inscribed to his good friend and fellow Irish writer, James Stephens.
