Hand coloured illustrations by Jack B. Yeats, Victor Brown, E.C. Peet, Maurice McGonigal, Harry Kernoff and Sean O’Sullivan, engraved music edited by Arthur Duff. Includes an essay entitled ‘Anglo-Irish Ballads’
The advertisement from the Cuala Press stated, ‘three hundred copies of each number will be printed. One hundred copies will be reserved for sale on completion of the set of twelve in specially bound volumes.‘
Alan Wade records three contributions by W.B. Yeats. Other songs were provided by James Stephens, F.R. Higgins, Frank O’Connor, Lynn Doyle, Bryan Guinness and Padraic Colum.
