Contains two early essays by Yeats: “If I Were Four-and-Twenty” (1919) and “Swedenborg, Mediums, and the Desolate Places.” (1914).

From the personal library of the author, with his ornate bookplate designed by T. Sturge Moore in 1918. The ‘candle in waves’ device occurs inside a wreath. The plates were printed at the Cuala Press from the original wood block.
