A highly collectable set of these two early Yeats collections. scarce thus in such fine condition. The bindings are the work of the symbolist artist Althea Gyles, whose distinctive designs—inspired by Yeats’s passion for the occult and Celtic mythology—are among the most celebrated in modern Irish literature.

The first volume collects poems including ‘The Shadowy Waters,’ ‘On Baile’s Strand,’ and ‘In the Seven Woods’ ; the second volume includes ‘The Wind Among the Reeds,’ ‘The Old Age of Queen Maeve,’ and ‘Baile & Aillinn’
