A nice association work. Le Brocquy held a huge reverence for Beckett’s writings and could quote him at length, at the same time Beckett was interested in Le Brocquy’s creative vision. The artist painted several representation of Beckett between 1979 and 2005. ‘I’m simply trying to discover, to uncover, aspects of the Beckettness of Beckett…’ (Le Brocquy, October 1979)
