Poems. London: David Bogue, 1881. Second Edition. Publisher’s white parchment boards, spine decorated and lettered in gilt, decorated panels to upper and lower boards depicting prunus blossoms. Covers browned , contents in fine bright condition.

The first printing (June 1881) consisted of 750 copies, of which only 250 copies were used for the first edition, the remaining 500 being equally divided between the second and third editions. The differences between editions are found in the preliminary leaves, and also the gilt flowers on the boards are of a larger size in the second and third editions than in the first edition. 

This was Wilde’s first published collection of poetry and included the works The Garden of Eros, Athanasia, The Grave of Keats, Amor Intellectualis, Apologia, Her Voice, My Voice, and others.
