Published by T. Fisher Unwin from 1899 through the 1930s, these issues are particularly notable for their striking binding designs by artist Althea Gyles, a close associate of Yeats and part of the fin-de-siècle Symbolist movement. The collection was reprinted multiple times, sometimes with minor textual revisions. While subsequent printings preserved Gyles’s design, some variations in binding materials and colors appeared, as the fully gilt-embossed design was expensive, and the early edition employed different qualities of cloth and paper.

Some of the poems in this volume include: The Lake Isle of Innisfree, The Stolen Child, Down by the Sally Gardens & The Wanderings of Usheen. With sixteen pages of Glossary & Notes at the end.

Signed copies of the Althea Gyles imprints are rare in commerce.
