Sophia Rosamond Praeger (1867-1954) was an Irish artist, sculptor, poet and writer who was born in Holywood, County Down. As well as illustrating other authors’ books, Praeger composed and illustrated twelve original children’s stories and two factual children’s books in her lifetime.
