One of a Numbered Limited Edition of 250 Copies Signed by Seamus Heaney & Initialed Barry Flannagan.

The poem had been printed by Heaney in a periodical, Poetry Ireland Review, the previous year. It comprises Heaney’s translation from a text in Middle English which accompanies the poem. The broadside was printed at the Hillingdon Press for Waddington Galleries. The illustrations comprise photographs, credited to David Ward, of sculptures of hares by Barry Flanagan. The Irish-Welsh sculptor Barry Flanagan (1941-2009) was famed for his bronze sculptures of hares and other animals.
