Liam Miller commented in An Illustrated Bibliography of the Dolmen Press: ‘The first book issued by the press was a small collection of ballads about Ireland’s travelling people. The establishment of the press, and our first publication, received a warm welcome and the little book sold out in a few weeks. This encouragement for our first effort made the continuation of the venture possible. The book was an extremely amateur piece of book production.’ A fine example of this scarce Dolmen printing.
