Four pages of ‘Ulysses Additional Corrections’ at end, pages unopened throughout. Contents pages browned and brittle (as usual with this edition), wrappers a little frayed along spine but overall a nice bright copy.

The most fragile edition of Joyce’s masterpiece, published by Shakespeare & Co., in unrestored state as issued. Rare to survive in this condition due to the poor quakity of paper used by the printer.

This edition is distinguished by its cream wrappers, with title printed in blue on upper wrapper and on spine (a departure from the usual blue wrappers and white lettering), and ‘Price: Sixty Francs’ printed lower wrapper. Four page list of ‘Ulysses Additional Corrections’ at rear.

This was the fifth of a total of eleven editions published by Sylvia Beach at Shakespeare & Co. between February 2, 1922 and May 1930.
