The First Edition Library, which operated in the 1980s–90s, was known for its extraordinary accuracy in duplication. This copy belongs to their “Published in Paris in Paperback” series, a subscription-only set that also included Nabokov’s Lolita and Henry Miller’s Tropic of Cancer .
