A beautiful typographic edition of this text translated, illustrated and printed by Raymond Gid. The layout with large French text adjacent a much smaller English font, with six lithographs in a black & white abstract medium. Gid was a French graphic designer who specialized in posters and typography. He started working as early as the 1930s, but his most prominent work was done in the 1960s and 70s. His book typography, as in this case, was often very experimental.
